Oasis Knebworth 2027 Travel Plans Revealed: Late Trains, Camping and Grandstands for Live ’27

Oasis fans heading to Knebworth for Live ’27 have been given the first detailed look at how the four enormous September 2027 concerts will operate, with plans confirmed for late-night trains, a dedicated campsite, nationwide coach travel, hospitality and expanded accessibility facilities.

The detail matters because Knebworth is unlike a conventional stadium show. Tens of thousands of fans will be travelling to a largely rural site before attempting to leave at roughly the same time after the concert, making transport one of the biggest practical challenges surrounding Oasis' return.

Organisers appear to be addressing that unusually early. For the first time at a Knebworth concert, special trains will continue running from Stevenage to London King's Cross late into the night, while an extensive coach network, camping options and new grandstand facilities are also being prepared.

Thirty-one years after Oasis' defining 1996 performances, getting the band back onto the Knebworth stage is only half of the operation. The other challenge is moving an enormous audience in and out of the site safely.

Late trains will run after every Oasis Knebworth show

Perhaps the most significant announcement concerns rail travel.

For the first time in Knebworth concert history, organisers say there will be around two hours of additional late-night trains from Stevenage station to London King's Cross after each Oasis show, with services expected to continue until around 1.30am.

Return journeys from Stevenage to London will cost £10, although fans will need to arrange their outward journey separately.

There is one important detail to understand before assuming this makes Knebworth a simple train journey.

Stevenage station is approximately two miles from the concert site and organisers estimate the walk at around 55 minutes. A stewarded and well-lit pedestrian route is planned between the venue and station.

That means rail passengers should allow considerably more time than the train timetable alone might suggest when planning their journey home.

Fans buying tickets will have the option of adding the late-night rail journey during checkout.

Knebworth is getting a huge coach network

Rail is only one part of the transport plan.

Official return coach-and-ticket packages will be offered from 124 pick-up points across England and Wales, which organisers describe as the largest coach operation associated with a UK cultural event.

The packages will be available with both General Admission and Front Standing tickets.

Rather than choosing an individual coach stop while trying to secure an Oasis ticket, buyers will initially select the relevant travel zone. Ticketmaster will then contact package holders after the sale so they can choose the most suitable departure point.

Coaches will arrive at Knebworth's dedicated coach area before the music begins and leave again following the concert.

Given the traffic problems historically associated with very large Knebworth events, the scale of the coach operation is clearly intended to persuade more fans not to drive.

Organisers are actively discouraging driving

Cars will still be accommodated, with parking options due to be released separately, but the official guidance is unusually direct.

Fans are being encouraged to use public transport or coach travel where possible because roads around Knebworth are expected to become heavily congested both before and after each concert.

Anyone who attended — or has seen footage of — major Knebworth events will understand why.

Unlike a city-centre stadium surrounded by multiple railway, Underground and bus routes, the estate funnels a vast number of people onto a much smaller surrounding road network.

Long delays should therefore be expected by anyone who chooses to drive.

That makes the expanded rail and coach plans more than an optional extra. They are a central part of how organisers intend to make four consecutive Oasis shows possible.

Oasis fans can camp at Knebworth for the first time

Another first will be the creation of a dedicated Knebworth campsite village.

Camping will be available for the two Saturday concerts on 11 and 18 September 2027, with packages covering both Friday and Saturday night.

Fans using the campsite will therefore be able to arrive the day before the concert, avoiding some of the traffic expected on show day itself.

A bring-your-own-tent package will cost £60 per person and includes two nights of camping and car parking.

The campsite will have its own entrance and dedicated parking area a short walk from the concert arena.

Friday-night entertainment is also planned in a pre-show area, alongside bars that will remain open after the Saturday concert.

Campers will then leave on Sunday morning, when organisers expect road traffic to be substantially lighter than immediately after the show.

It gives the Saturday Knebworth dates something closer to a festival experience than a traditional one-night concert.

Grandstand seating is coming to Knebworth

Live ’27 will also introduce something not previously seen at major Knebworth concerts: grandstand seating.

Three temporary grandstands are planned at the rear of the venue.

That significantly changes the usual Knebworth layout, which has historically been dominated by standing audiences across the estate.

The grandstands form part of the hospitality offering and will provide another option for fans who want to attend the historic shows without spending an entire day standing in the field.

VIP packages for Knebworth include options combining concert admission with hospitality, pre-show experiences and reserved grandstand access.

The premium arrangements do push the cost well beyond ordinary admission, but they broaden the ways in which fans can experience the shows.

Accessibility provision is being expanded too

Organisers say the concerts will include the largest accessible viewing platform Knebworth has ever provided.

The platform will be situated towards the rear of the arena, approximately 200 metres from the stage, with a direct forward view.

Accessible tickets include space for one companion at no additional charge, while BSL provision will also be available through the accessible viewing area.

There will also be accessible standing options for fans for whom a fully standing environment is suitable.

One practical warning is particularly important: Knebworth remains a vast, fully grassed outdoor site.

Ground conditions can therefore change dramatically depending on the weather, something fans with mobility requirements should consider when planning the day.

Proof of accessibility will also be required after booking for the relevant accessible ticket types.

The scale of Knebworth makes all this necessary

Oasis returning to Knebworth was always going to create a transport challenge.

The original concerts on 10 and 11 August 1996 drew a combined audience of around 250,000 people and became one of the defining events of the band's career.

Live ’27 goes further by spreading the return across four nights: 11, 12, 18 and 19 September 2027.

That gives organisers more opportunities to manage arrivals and departures, but also means the infrastructure surrounding the estate has to function repeatedly across two consecutive weekends.

The late trains, campsite, huge coach operation and temporary grandstands suggest Live ’27 is being planned on something closer to festival scale.

That feels appropriate.

Knebworth has never really been just another Oasis venue.

Ticket registration has now closed

Registration for Oasis Live ’27 tickets closed at 4pm BST on Thursday, 17 September 2026.

Fans who successfully registered are now waiting to find out whether they have been selected to receive access to the ticket sale.

Successful applicants will receive a unique, non-transferable code and ticket link before their allocated sales window.

UK ticket sales will take place across Friday 25, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September, with three separate sales windows scheduled on each day.

Receiving a code will not guarantee a ticket, but only registered fans selected for access will be able to enter the sale.

The system replaces the conventional unrestricted general sale and is intended to control the enormous demand expected for Live ’27.

Knebworth ticket prices

Standard Knebworth pricing is comparatively straightforward.

General Admission Standing costs £170.50 including fees, while Front Standing costs £203.50.

The Front Standing area will itself be divided by a crowd barrier, with wristbands for the section nearest the stage allocated as fans enter.

Premium packages rise considerably higher, including hospitality and pre-show options, while camping and transport can be added separately depending on the package selected.

For fans travelling from elsewhere in Britain, that means the true cost of Knebworth may extend well beyond the concert ticket itself.

Transport, accommodation, food and potentially camping all need to be considered.

This time Knebworth is being planned long before the crowd arrives

The historical significance of Oasis returning to Knebworth was always going to dominate the announcement.

But the practical planning now emerging is almost as interesting.

Late trains until around 1.30am, 124 coach pick-up points, a purpose-built campsite village, three new grandstands and Knebworth's largest accessible viewing platform show the extraordinary amount of infrastructure required to recreate one of Britain's most famous concert settings in 2027.

The field may be the same.

The operation surrounding it will be very different from 1996.

And for anyone lucky enough to secure a ticket, deciding how to get to Knebworth — and particularly how to get home afterwards — should probably happen almost as soon as deciding which ticket to buy.
