The instrument was listed with an estimate of £250,000–£500,000, described by PropStore as “arguably one of the most significant guitars associated with Oasis, as it was the catalyst for one of the most famous splits in music history.”
The guitar, repaired after the altercation, was later used extensively by Noel in his solo career. It had previously sold in Paris in 2022 for around €385,000 (≈ £335,000).

Interest in the piece soared thanks to Oasis’s 2025 reunion tour, which has fuelled a surge in demand for the band’s memorabilia. In 2024, Noel’s Silver Sparkle Gibson Les Paul fetched £226,000 at auction.
Other PropStore highlights included:
Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal video hat – £50,400
Elvis Presley sunglasses – £75,600
Banksy artwork from Blur’s Think Tank album – £107,100
“This guitar symbolises the turbulent relationship of a band that shaped the 1990s,” PropStore said.
