"Helter Skelter" by Oasis is a cover of the classic song originally written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon for The Beatles' 1968 self-titled album (commonly known as the White Album). The Beatles' version is renowned for its raw, heavy rock sound—often cited as an early influence on heavy metal—and its chaotic energy, with McCartney aiming to create the "dirtiest, loudest" track possible.Oasis, who have long cited The Beatles as a major inspiration, recorded their rendition during the sessions for their 1997 album Be Here Now, though it wasn't released until 2000.
