In 2001, Pritchard co-founded The Zutons alongside Dave McCabe (lead vocals, guitar), Sean Payne (drums), and Boyan Chowdhury (lead guitar). The band, hailing from Liverpool, quickly gained recognition for their eclectic blend of rock, pop, jazz, and funk, often described as "psychedelic cartoon punk." Saxophonist Abi Harding later joined the group, further enhancing their distinctive sound.

The Zutons released their debut album, Who Killed...... The Zutons?, in April 2004, which reached number 9 on the UK Albums Chart and was nominated for the 2004 Mercury Music Prize. Their follow-up album, Tired of Hanging Around (2006), peaked at number 2, featuring hit singles like "Why Won't You Give Me Your Love?" and "Valerie," the latter famously covered by Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse.

After The Zutons disbanded in 2009, Pritchard joined Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds as the bassist. His collaboration with Gallagher contributed to the band's success, with albums like Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds (2011) and Chasing Yesterday (2015) receiving critical acclaim. Pritchard's musicianship played a significant role in shaping the band's sound during this period.

In 2018, The Zutons announced a reunion tour to commemorate the 15th anniversary of their debut album. However, Pritchard did not participate in the reunion, as he continued his commitments with Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
