British Peer Hints Oasis Will Return to Knebworth — Then Walks It Back

Her remark suggested the band would play five back-to-back nights at Knebworth House in July 2026, reigniting hopes for a 30th-anniversary recreation of Oasis’s legendary 1996 shows.

Hours later, Lady Taylor told The Guardian her words were “hypothetical,” explaining that she had spoken in reference to local speculation:

“I was speaking hypothetically following speculation that they would play Knebworth again … I understand the band have not confirmed this.”
She added that her comments were meant to illustrate how major concerts contribute to local economies.

Interestingly the Public record of the comments has n ow been taken down.

Oasis representatives declined to comment, and The Guardian reported that the band’s management was unaware of any such five-night plan.
Henry Lytton-Cobbold, current owner of Knebworth House, told the paper:

“Clearly it’s what the people want, clearly it should happen – but let’s get it in the diary, as our summer 2026 weekends are swiftly filling up.”

The remarks have nonetheless fueled fresh speculation that Oasis could mark 30 years since their 1996 Knebworth shows with another monumental live event.
