Noel Gallagher has said Oasis’ reunion shows in 2025 surpassed even the band’s original peak, describing the comeback run as “better than the ’90s” while also teasing that the forthcoming tour documentary could be “astonishing”. He made the comments backstage at the BRIT Awards on February 28, 2026, where he picked up the Songwriter of the Year award.

Reflecting on the scale of the band’s return, Noel called the reunion run “the most incredible thing that any of us have ever done”, adding that the response from fans after so many years away had been overwhelming. He said the gigs were “amazing”, singled out the Manchester shows as especially memorable, and rated the whole run “10 out of 10”.

He went on to say that the shows had spoken for themselves, and admitted he was almost lost for words trying to sum them up. For a band whose 1990s live legacy has long been part of rock folklore, it was a striking claim from Noel to say the 2025 performances had actually gone beyond that era.

Gallagher also offered a fresh update on the upcoming Oasis tour film, which is being produced by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace. The project, currently titled Oasis Live ’25, was announced in March 2025, though a release date has not yet been confirmed.

Speaking about what he has seen so far, Noel said he has only watched a small amount of the footage, but added that everyone who has seen more of it has told him it is “amazing”. He said that if the film captures even a fraction of what the tour felt like, it will be something special for fans.
